It’s a Saturday night. My phone buzzes with notifications, friends planning a club night, people posting their weekend adventures, loud music, neon lights, and the thrill of the unknown on WhatsApp group. But here I am, sitting in my living room,
enjoying a warm cup of tea with my family, laughing over stories from the past, and feeling completely at peace. This is my kind of fun. And honestly, I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

I belong to this viral generation, known for breaking norms, embracing change, and redefining traditions. But deep down, I have always felt a little different. My mindset is more old-school. Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate the progressiveness of my generation. I study in a design college, surrounded by creativity, innovation, and ever-evolving trends. I never felt the need to follow the trend. The idea of dyeing my hair with vibrant shades never appealed to me, I love my natural self. My personal style is more about comfort, elegance, and timeless pieces rather than chasing what’s trending.

When it comes to socialising, I prefer deep, meaningful conversations over a home-cooked meal rather than loud parties. I love spending time with my close ones, cherishing bonds that hold value rather than fleeting interactions in noisy clubs. To me, fun isn’t defined by staying out till late at night with a drink in hand, it’s in the laughter shared with family, in cozy nights under a blanket watching old movies, in the comfort of being around people who truly know me.

Being in a creative field has made me question myself at times. Should I be more experimental? Should I try to fit into the dynamic, bold, ever-changing world of design and expression? But every time I ponder, the answer remains the same, I love being myself. Trends will come and go, but staying true to who I am makes me happiest. I’ve realised that embracing my old-school mindset in a modern world is not a limitation but a strength, it sets me apart.
